I met this girl last fall… she was tiny and skinny and just rescued from being euthanized. Last night I met up with her and her new family for pictures and could not believe my eyes. If I wouldn’t have known it IS Ellie, I wouldn’t have recognized her. I love seeing those turnarounds!

I like the rain. Usually. It’s great for playing in puddles and walking the dogs when no one else does. But because of the rain a photo shoot I was looking forward to had to be rescheduled. So let’s hope for better weather next weekend so I can meet 3 beautiful great pyrenees siblings who are being reunited for the first time after they left the animal shelter.

Meanwhile, we have gotten a new foster last week. And believe it or not, she already got adopted this weekend. Sweet little Olivia now lives with her new family in El Dorado, Kansas.

Last week I went to photograph two sweet miniature Dachshunds (it bugs me to say it that way, in german the plural would be Dachshunde). They have both been adopted through Pott County Humane Society a few years ago.
And they sure provided me with a new experiences. I am very much used photographing big(ger) dogs. These two are so tiny! Try filling a frame with them. Usually I just have to squat down to get on eye level with a dog, with these two I was flat on my stomach for at least half of the time ;) But I think it worked out great! Here are Maggie and D.
